Dr. Justin Jabara is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine and complex knee and shoulder conditions. He treats shoulder instability and rotator cuff tears with minimally invasive surgery. He also performs shoulder revision procedures and standard and reverse shoulder replacements. In addition, he cares for knee problems ranging from sports injuries such as ACL and meniscus tears to arthritis.
Dr. Jabara takes time to listen to his patients and understand what matters most to them, tailoring treatment plans to each person’s goals. Whenever possible, he recommends non-surgical options before considering surgery. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Jabara has published research on shoulder and knee surgery, with an emphasis on improving surgical techniques and patient recovery. A Michigan native, Dr. Jabara enjoys music, fishing, hunting and spending time outdoors with his wife and family.
Dr. Justin Jabara is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and knee surgery. A Michigan native, he completed his Sports Medicine & Shoulder Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco before returning home to join Orthopaedic Associates of Muskegon.
Dr. Jabara says he loves what he does because he has the chance to help people get back to the activities they enjoy most. He appreciates that every shoulder and knee case is unique, and values the ability to relieve pain, improve function, and restore confidence. His care philosophy starts by listening—learning how an injury is impacting someone’s daily life, understanding their goals, and building a game plan together that supports a safe and successful return to activity.
Outside the operating room, Dr. Jabara is happiest spending time with his wife Cait (a registered nurse), their family, and his two brothers—both physicians as well. The Jabara family feels most at home outdoors, whether hunting, skiing, or fishing together throughout Michigan and beyond. Justin and his family also share a love of music, and grew up playing and performing together—a tradition they continue today. He and Cait are grateful to be raising their family back in Michigan.
