Dr. Rudert is a primary care sports medicine physician. She sees patients in need of urgent care for orthopaedic injuries. She is specialty trained and certified in non-operative treatment of sports and activity related conditions, including injury care, concussions and skin infections or rashes. She has experience working with athletes of all ages and sports and enjoys keeping her patients active and healthy.
She is additionally trained in osteopathic manipulative medicine and non-invasive ultrasound guided injections that can enhance healing and recovery. She is also trained in Good Form Running and volunteered at a local running store for their injury clinic during her residency and fellowship.
During her Sports Medicine Fellowship at Michigan State University, she provided sideline coverage and training room care for many sports, including: volleyball, softball, baseball, golf, women's soccer, men's and women's basketball, football, wrestling, track and field, and gymnastics. She traveled as the team physician with the women's basketball team to the first round of the NCAA tournament and a regular season game in Nebraska. During her training, she spent time working with gymnasts of all skill levels, from recreational level to elite and had the opportunity to provide medical coverage for the USA Gymnastics Championships in Indianapolis in 2015 and the US Olympic Trials in San Jose in 2012.
Dr. Rudert was born and raised in Mid-Michigan and joins the area with her husband and son. When not working, she enjoys running, hiking, and biking.
